Missing from Nova Scotia, Bandit

St. Francis and St. Anthony please come promptly to the aid of the precious sheltie, Bandit, and those who love him, and enable him to find his way back home having suffered no ill effects from his separation from his family. Thank you sweet Jesus for your mercy on this family and their dearly loved pet, Bandit, and for restoring him to them. It is in your name we pray. Amen.

Sending prayers to you and bandit.I too have lost a sheltie almost a year ago. Bandit must come home!!!

Did you find your sheltie? I am looking for peoples personal stories with their lost shelties, the ones that ended successfully, and the ones that didn't. I am trying to gather details so I can try to figure out what worked and what didn't.

Hi Linda. Most of the stories I read about finding lost shelties is that somebody had seen them and contacted the owner and then they figured out a way to get them. Has Bandit been seen by anybody lately? Keep on letting people in that area know you are still looking for him. I am still praying for his return.

P.S. Cannot get to sleep so am reading true stories of dogs found on a website called lostdogsfound. Check it out it will encourage you.

Unfortunately no. If you search my previous posts you will see what happened. Don't trust a friend with your sheltie. You'd rather pay big money for a crappy kennel at least they won't lose your dogs...

I just read the story of your boy, that is heartbreaking. How long did you search? It has been 3 months for us now, and we are still searching, I know Bandit is out there somewhere, and I know he wants to come home, but he is just too scared to think straight. My Bandit actually ran from my parents home, they were taking care of him for me for the weekend so I could go visit my daughter. They only had him a couple hours, it was weird, he has been there many times before and loves it there, they give him more treats than he gets at home! And they treat him so good, it was definitely not carelessness, it was a weird fluke.
Actually I got a call last night, a woman that works in a nursing home in Falmouth saw a dog 5 minutes before she called me, on her way to work. She said there has been a dog roaming the area for the past year (I would like to know who's that is or if it's a stray!) so she wasn't sure if it was that one or mine. I went out, couple other people did too, and I did set a trap but got a very freaked-out cat.
I read that you said it is draining on body and mind, and that is so true. I am exhausted, but keep on going.
