Misty Makes a Bang!

I took Misty to her first indoor show yesterday, not sure how she'd react. It's in a huge building, tons of noise, lots of barking dogs and loudspeakers. Most of my other girls have not been fond of the atmosphere.

True to her great-grandma Checkers' heritage, Misty handled it like a pro, in a large field of 17 girls. And for icing on the cake, she won her class in some stiff competition, and went on to take Major Reserve Winner in a group of very competitive other class winners, many with pro handlers! And the judge spent considerable time looking between Misty and the dog she eventually named the top Winner before picking.

I'm still floating. So proud of this little girl!

Congratulations Ann and Misty!
We so far only have one show scheduled for next weekend and we’re not entered..Blueberry isn’t ready. There was a show scheduled for August but they’ve cancelled which is surprising considering things are opening up. We’ve now vaccinated 50% of our population in Manitoba with 2 doses and 76% with one. The more doses=more openings so I’m confused as to why this club canceled. I think they didn’t want all the extra work with distancing and such.
