Moonshine passed

Thank you everyone for your condolences. We are both very very saddened by this. I think my Fiance has cried for 36 hours straight.

Moonshine was not a planned fur baby for us...but he was loved very very much from day one.

I too am really angry with the breeder, but at this point I don't have the energy to be angry anymore just saddened by the loss of my boy. My fiance keeps saying "He was such a good boy, I hope he knew I loved him."

I'm really broken over losing him...I lost my australian shepherd at the beginning of this year and I was at a loss...he was my partner as well as my companion. Moonshine and I didn't spend the same amount of years together, but watching him make his recovery through parvo and watching him heal through this time has brought a much different type of bond.

Our house is much lonelier now that we don't have the little guy running under our feet...the little sounds of his growl and bark are missed sorely.

I am so sorry that Moonshine didn't make it, after all that you and he had been through together.

I know that its nearly impossible, but I find it can ease the pain a little by concentrating on the positives, like the fact that the short time that he was with you were the happiest days of his short life. You saved him away from a terrible place where he knew only fear and pain and instead gave him love, joy and happiness.

I just found you r post -- I've been away in Texas. My God, I am just heartsick. There simply are not words for something this awful. Please believe that you and your fiance brought love, happiness and joy into the life of Moonshine. He knew he was special and beloved, and that's a pretty good life. He brought you joy and brought all of us on the forum closer as we all pulled together for him. There are people who haven't done as much. The world is a better place because Moonshine's light shone upon us. :sadsmile:
 
So understandable to be sad! Allow yourselves to be sad!!
You probably know but I just want to say that you can ALWAYS talk to us if other friends/family tell you to move on, get over it, get another dog, etc etc... :mad:

We understand some of what you guys must be feeling!
 
I have been working odd hours and just read your post. I'm deeply saddened by your loss. My deepest condolences. If only there were a way to cram a hug through modem wires.

Just got my puter back today, and am totally choked up when reading about your little guy.
and now you have another beautiful furkid to love and care for.
We are so sad for you and so happy that you were found by another who needed a loving pair of people to take care of him

You may not have planned Moonshine, but I think he was planned for YOU!

You brought him peace and comfort to finish out his days.

You are both good-hearted souls! Hugs!
