My Anxious Shelties - Toby and Ginny - Updates on their Progress

You have to feel like your in heaven with Toby and Ginny. I am so happy everything is back on track for you.

I am so happy for you that things have calmed down and the pups are back to normal and especially that Ginny got over her bee sting incident and is back to being herself. You are a wonderful mom to them and it shows with all the hard work you have done.

Its been almost two weeks since reducing the amount of Reconcile/Fluoxetine Toby is getting and so far so good! I've been alternating between 16mg and 10mg Fluoxetine so soon I'll drop the dose to only 10mg Fluoxetine per day.

Fingers crossed that this works!

Is it the meds that have made all the difference or did you incorporate other training as well?

If you look back through my threads I spent nine months trying to train him before putting him on medication. I also exhausted all natural options of treating his anxiety before medicating him. His anxiety was such that he wasn't able to make any improvement until I medicated him, then continued the training.

It continues to be great news!

You are doing such a good job with Toby.

Thanks! I'm really excited about how he's doing!

I've thought for a while that he may have to be on medication for the rest of his life, but now I have hope that maybe in time I'll be able to wean him off of it completely.

I'm so proud of how far he's come, I can't imagine how life must have been for him before.
