New from California

Sorry for the double post by the way. I'm still getting used to the site. I've attached a few pics of both parents without including the website.

That's a picture of Spider, the mom. She's participates in both shows and agility. When I visited the breeder, Spider jumped right up next to me on the couch :)

And then there's Athens who is the dad. He's an International and National show dog. But, to me, that doesn't matter. He's also a sweet boy. A bit more reserved than Spider though it seemed. I'll try to get those pictures off my camera too soon.

They're BOTH GORGEOUS! I'd be willing to be there will be a bi-black in that mix somewhere.. ANYTHING from those two parents will be beautiful though. Wow...you're one lucky "future sheltie mommy" ;-)...

Justicemom: Thanks very much! I know I do have a long way off, but I'll be focussing on school during that time. It's passed by quickly so far. The parents aren't bi black, but the breeder has told me that she's always had a few bi black pups from this pairing. If it doesn't work out that way, then I'm fine with whichever coloring. I've seen the pictures of your dogs. They're all so cute and have beautiful coats!

Thank you for your comments on my dogs.

Good for you for keeping an open mind on color. My friend has a blue merle girl Cassi who has had 2 litters-6 puppies all Tris. We are starting to question if she is a blue. Color is always a luck of the draw.

Also you never know what puppy will talk to you. When I was going to get my next dog I was going to get a bi blue male. There were 2 in the litter and I ended up with the blue merle male who was the best match for me.

Welcome from Orange County!!!

I admit, May is far away! I give you credit for waiting. I never waited long for mine, but then again, they kinda fell in my lap too. The parents are gorgeous, can't wait to see the pups (when they're born).

Spider and Athens are two of the most beautiful shelties. Omg.

The best fun with a new puppy, is that you get to see the face colors drop down and change as they grow. It is so neat as they grow into their adult faces.

Shelties will talk to you more than most breeds, they communicate so well. The breed as a whole can be very sensitive to you and your moods and tend to be a bit shy at times.

Oh you are so lucky.

Best,
Kate

Thanks so much!

Yeah.. It is far away. But I'm willing to wait as long as I have to :biggrin2: That's so cool that you got your shelties relatively quickly. I bet it helped the process go along easier haha. Thanks again! I'll most definitely post tons of pics when I first visit the puppies in mid March.

You really think so? Thanks! I fell in love with them before I met even them in person.

I've been looking up time sequence pictures of different shelties and I agree! It's so cool to see them grow with their coat and character as well. I've heard that they're a sensitive dog which works for me because they seem to share my personality  The breeder and I are going to work hard to socialize them as much as we can before they mature so I'm hoping that it will help. I've been reading up on my Sheltie Talk book. Trying to pass the time haha
