Thank you for the compliments. I think he looks fantastic especially for the short time he's been recovering.

I was wondering about his coloring lol I haven't been able to find many pictures of the color headed whites. Both of his parents as far as I know were sables. I don't know much about his line obviously due to the breeder. He definately looks unique plus he has both of his front legs shaved from IV catheters.


I've been asked if he was a border collie already though. That took me by suprise he's a bit small for that. Though I was used to that question...my oldest australian shepherd was black tri and often was mistaken for a border. I thought I'd escaped that question though. :lol:
 
What a cute puppy, he is going to be a very handsome guy when he gets older! His name really fits him. I am so happy for you that he is doing so well. Will look forward to more pictures.
 
Having such a beautiful heart as you do by adopting Moonshine ;-), you are definately pursuing the right career choice!.... Prayers for you and Moonshine are in the works ;-)..

So I took him outside to use the restroom...and used the oppurtunity to snap some photos. I thought I'd share.

He's not the sable color...he's black and white I think the term is color headed white maybe. You'll notice the thin fur...that's due to the fleas when I first brought him home, but this is a very bright looking parvo recoverer if I do say so myself. :biggrin2:

I have to add that Moonshine is a BEAUTY!! His face looks just like our Baron...the bi-black part with the fine white blaze up the face.. Moonshine looks like he was professionally painted..;-).. Glad to hear recovery is going so well!

Most people assume that black and white herding dogs are border collies, because that's all they know (what was that movie with the pig that herded Sheep - all the dogs in it were b/w borders. Shelties and Collies are always sable & white in most people's minds. And blue merles are old dogs that are going grey! :rolleyes2:
 
So now that everything is back to normal for Moonshine I think he's used to just a wee bit of spoiling. (The amount of toys he's been given by me and my fiance is quite unreal, tigers, loofa dogs, and ropes oh my!)

I'm not so sure if Moonshine approves of my fiance's work schedule. I work a 4pm to Midnight shift at the hospital and my fiance works a 7am to 3pm shift at her job...well she wakes him up at 5:30am when she gets up and takes him out with her. Well this morning I woke up to a very sleepy puppy beside me...

How cute is that! Moonshine deserves all the spoiling he can get after his rough start. I'm so glad to hear he is doing so well.
