No news is good news?

Confirmed - Lyme's!!!!

Wish the bloodwork had reflected it in May, but also Brodie had responded favorably and quickly to crate rest alone after his negative test and did not run a fever with the first go round of lameness so.....

We are testing his urine for protein levels and if fine, she wants him on another week of downtime and then start rehabbing him with walks, his peanut ball, allowing him to get better and then build up his muscles adn stuff before starting him back on agility.

That is actually really good news as strange as it sounds to cheer for Lyme! This means that once the Lyme is totally under control that Brodie can safely start to return to all the activities he loves!!!!!! (y) Lyme takes time to come up positive in dogs and in humans which is why retesting is so critical when symptoms point to a tick borne disease even when the initial test comes back negative.
I am so happy for you and Brodie to finally have this dx'd.

i agree that this is the best possible news for Brodie! It can be easily treated as long as he tolerates the doxycyline and you can keep it on hand in case of flareups which you'll recognize if he get lame again. I'm so happy he's on the road to recovery! What a relief for you. Big pats to your boy!

Fantastic news Sandy! I’m sorry he has Lyme of course but glad you finally have a diagnosis!

Same!!!! I feel guilty for being relieved, but 1) we have an answer, 2) it has a solution and a test and 3) we can eventually get back to the activities he loves.

I mentioned his girl friend from agility to him yesterday and the poor guy practically burst with excitement over her name. He misses his friend and he misses his activity. Glad that in a few weeks we can start building up his strength and get going again! He gained a pound and I'm not telling you what I gained in the month plus that he's been in-active! :)
