Oopsie! Training treats possibly causing

I would take her collar of while in the crate the tags are a choking hazard. Before Gypsy was mine her owner would drop her off in the morning for me to watch whie she worked. I was getting ready to take my 2 out, turned around and Gypsy's tags were caught between the wire. If I hadn't caught it so quickly she could have choked herself and died. When I took her out the bottom of her crate even had imprinted on the pan remove all collars and tags before putting the animal in the crate.

By the way nice catch on the urine, sorry hubby wasn't home to witness it.

What type of crate do you have? Because mine is not a wire crate, it's a travel plastic crate.

I think Dawn means a wire crate. If you take a close look at those crates, there are spots where the tags can get caught. I would just watch the wire dog on the travel crate.

After 3 weeks of no treats other than using her puppy food, Skyla's urinalysis today came back in normal range! She has also gained 6 lbs in the last 3 weeks so at 3 months old she's 10lbs 13oz. The vet said because her urinalysis is normal we can rule out any kidney problems that may have caused it to be low the first time.

Happy news about Skyla's urinalysis. Take a big deep sigh of relief.
I don't leave collars on my dogs in crates no matter what type of crate. Some of the weirdest accidents I have experienced or heard of involve collars with tags.
