Origins canine supplement

I'd say they're both the same...but I'll wait for Caro to answer that one.

They should be, depends on what freezing agent they use as to how much survives. But I couldn't tell you much and we don't have an IMS appointment coming up to ask. Problem always is, you never know how much is in the product.

I can say though the IMS says about probiotics that if your dog is healthy or eating a balanced, researched dog food, why would you mess up their natural balance with adding more probiotics? He is more supportive of prebiotics. When Tully was on RC he didn't want us on another probiotic, which was just as well because the probiotics we tried made Tully sick anyway. He said it was okay when she was sick, had diarrhea or was on antibiotics though - and the stuff he recommended for those times did include enterococcus faecium.

I've been giving Missy Origins since January. She's been doing well on it. I haven't noticed any digestion issues. She's very healthy and had no joint or coat issues to begin with, so I haven't noticed any changes. She gets 1 tablespoon with her meals, so twice a day. She also gets Glycoflex 3 and 1-TDC. Maybe a little overkill but I'm trying to prevent joint issues in the future since she's such an active dog. I will say that Lew Olson, I guess a dog nutritionist? says Omega 3 goes bad very quickly in fish meal form, and the rest is just probiotics and yeast, so that makes it kinda pricey for what is is. She recommends Omega 3 in capsule form like you would buy for humans.

I wasn't impressed with Vibrant Pets. I gave it for a while. In like, 2014. I stopped giving it because I couldn't get a solid answer back as to what the difference was between all the formulas, as they all seemed to have the same ingredients.

Yes. Agreed. So it's got Omega 3s, chondroitin /glucosamine, and probiotics. All fine, but a little overly dramatic on the bag. Foods almost never contain enough chondroitin/glucosamine to be effective (if indeed it even IS effective...) and I agree if you think probiotics are important just give a good probiotic. It's fine, but nothing special there.
