Overweight 12 months old

Good for you! Simba sounds like he's at the perfect weight for his height. I'm sorry to hear about his gastro problems, and agree it would be good to get him on a better quality food. I don't know about UK foods, but if you can find a limited ingredient brand, that would be best for him. Here, we have Wellness and Natural Balance -- both make limited ingredient foods.

Limited ingredient means that there's one protein, not a variety and very few other ingredients. There might be potatoes, rice or sweet potatoes but unlike foods with a variety of veggies and grains, you need something with as little as possible. Perhaps one of our UK members can steer you to one over there.

Congratulations on doing a great job managing Simba's weight! :smile2:

Savannah my almost 9 mth old is on Fromm but I am starting to really transition her off. Kaleigh started getting a bit chunky after spaying so I got her off kibble, I did add carrots then as my Vet suggested it. When I started adding mashed carrots, she didn't act so famished, and she shed the excess quick-so win/win...green beans work well too, they just aren't as well received from my girls. I think the treats can really be the culprit, so try switching that out first. My girls get bones more than treats...cleans the teeth and they don't really add calories...

Thank you for your the great tips! Does kibble have more calories than wet food? I thought it was good for the their teeth to continue on kibble. What food are you transitioning Kaleigh to? About what is the measurement of carrots you give?
I wish I knew how to upload a photo so you all could see him:smile2:
