Owning a Sheltie Means...

Owning a Sheltie means learning to talk in code because words like cookie, popcorn and cereal send her into a "tail" spin :wink2:

Code only buys a few minutes though as she knows the cabinets that house her favorite treats.

My daughter even began spelling yogurt because her Addie loved yogurt. She soon only got the Y out and Adds knew what was in store.

Sometimes they are a bit too smart

Love this!

Owning two shelties means:

I have to meet their agenda.

I have detectives watching over me.

Recognize their body language at all times.

Having plenty of brushes and other tools.

Most important all the kisses, cuddles, and smiles they give.

Can't forget sheltie stares. Oh my!!!

Owning a sheltie means knowing eventually, they're going to be able to spell.

Owning a sheltie means making sure you give an equal NUMBER of treats to each one, because they can count. (Although you can vary the amount)

Owning a sheltie means that someday your heart will break and will have a sheltie size hole in it. It will never be completely filled again, but if you are very lucky another sheltie will come into your life and you will love again.

LOL - I can relate to every single suggestion mentioned so far!

Owning a Sheltie (or 5), means learning to walk very carefully as they practice their herding skills on their humans.
