Picking a name

My kids insisted we use Disney names. Our cats are Figaro, Toulouse and Berlioz. I told them our next pet would be Minnie Mouse. They asked "what if we get a cat?" .I told them "Minnie Mouse The Cat". They did not appreciate that and asked "What if Mom finally let's you get a dog?" .to which I replied "Minnie Mouse The Cat The Dog". Again no appreciation. I got Chewbacca on a technicality since Disney bought Star Wars.

Our WiFi is now named "Minnie Mouse The Cat The Dog WIFI". It just fits.

Love the name! And you picked it even before you brought him home, good one! Beau was "Puppy" for a month after we brought him home. It had to be a family vote and we obviously could not get agreement. Finally settled on registered name that was loaded with meaning, and his name just followed: he couldn't be Belle so he was Beau (plus my son had someone in mind whose name was Beau, to honor him).

Turns out I may not be able to use Vinnie....I love the name but when I told the breeder she said she liked it but.....
She said it's also the name of the number one Sheltie in Canada (Kim Aston's Vinnie that won best of breed at Westminster). She said I could still use it but I think she'd prefer it if I didn't...I'm sure I'm no one to Kim but the Sheltie world isn't that big and I think I'll honor the breeder and pick a different name:grumpy:. Back to the drawing board.....

Super bummer!!!
I would just use Vinny anyway! But, that's just me!

Good luck on finding a new name you love just as much!

Laureate Invincible (Vinnie) is the gorgeous dog that won. His name registered name isn't Vincent. Not being able to call a dog Vinnie in your own home is like saying you can't name your baby Mary cuz some other family did. Just my opinion.
