Piper news?

I get the feeling some of the money is coming from the stolen money. Too coincidental that she takes all that money at the same time. I doubt a lawyer will still be taking this pro bono, not to a superior court, not with some kind of pay off (if not money). Although I see his motions are getting shorter and shorter. Maybe the family of the missing money should commence proceedings, get her from both fronts and at least see if the court can prevent her spending the money before it's all gone.

My understanding of the motion is it stops the municipal court hearing anything more about the case until the original matter (ownership) has been heard and ruled on by the court of appeal. So that means no hearings on damages until the matter has made it's way through all courts. No wonder Veronica is finding this financially hard.

Jess - I believe the appeal filed last week, was to have everything, including the trial on the 27th, put on hold while they appeal the appeal court decision regarding the replevin - the return of Piper to Veronica. I don't see that this motion for stay has been granted as yet.

It is starting to get really really nasty again - and this time, Penny is involved.

With lawyers, every phone call, every email, every piece of paper, every minute is itemized and charged for, even if it is only a 5 minute phone call. I certainly pray that this will be the end of it all on the 27th. I can't afford to donate but my prayers go up.

Yes I saw Penny's comments. It's been a while since I've had the urge to throw my phone across the room. Don't worry, I didn't. But there's seriously something wrong with that woman.

Just her behaviors throughout this ordeal should be reason for dismissal. It wasn't about what was in a dog's best interest from the beginning. Any sane, rational person can SEE that. If she has disdain for the breeding community as a whole, her choice, but her BEHAVIOR is NOT rational or excusable. I still contend the pictures of Piper BEFORE and AFTER should be all the "evidence" one needs to illustrate that Penny should be kept FAR away from living creatures! The "rescue" should be closed, and the state of OH should ban her from ownership or involvement with any other "rescue". If she is being funded by other groups, how sane are they to let her be their spokesmodel person...YIKES. Veronica should keep circulating those before and after shots, and any other info pertaining to the stress incurred by Piper being held hostage...tragic scenario.

Where are Penny's comments posted ? Just curious.

Wouldn't be surprised if PETA was involved on some level, those people are nuttier than Penny seems to be.

And yes, I think the family of the woman she robbed from should absolutely file their lawsuits now. Hammer her on all fronts. She wants to play dirty ? She gets what she deserves.

Well people from KPS, including Penny, keep talking about filing lawsuits against people for slander. I'm just like.. do you know what the legal definition of slander is?? Because a lot of the things that have been said are not slanderous. First of all- it's only slander if it's false. And people can express their opinion without it being slander. So, good luck with that Penny..

For those who are on Facebook, Veronica has posted pictures of Piper from when she was reunited. She has an unbelievable amount of grey throughout her coat now. More than I first thought based on earlier pictures. She has sores on her snout, around her mouth. She has some flaky skin issue going on. Veronica commented that they were sores.

I just can't believe that was the condition that she was returned in.

I agree. How can someone who claims to care so much for one dog, and go to extreme lengths to keep a dog that was not there in the first place, let that dog get into such poor condition is beyond my comprehension. Penny is just crazy.

Have they even investigated the conditions the current dogs are in at that place? Just makes me sick at how many other dogs could be suffering.
