The judge wasn't listed as defendant but it could be relative of his. I think it is stall tactics on the part of the rescue to wait until this point to do this. Her lawyer had all that info back in February.

They are still waiting for the vet visit with Piper, which was to have been done before Apr 17. I read it has been scheduled.

If it's a relative, he might be biased, which would be a good reason to excuse himself. Just speculating of course.

UGH! How much more time is THIS change going to take before the case is actually heard?!? It's been over a year already. On top of that, NO ONE has seen Piper; even the court mandated vet visit hasn't happened.

I don't know if the court has actually mandated it. I know they requested it, but I never saw that the request was approved or anything. I could be wrong though.

Where did you read that? I noticed today that on the website with the case information, the case is listed as closed because it's transferring to a new judge. Nothing about new court. Not saying your wrong, just wondering where you got that info.

It was on the Bring Piper Home Facebook page on the Posts to the Page where the admins mentioned that was what was going on. However, I just checked the case online and it indicates the case is open again and assigned to a new judge in the municipal court.

All these delays have to be frustrating, not to mention expensive ( lawyers bill by the hour). I really really hope that she gets Piper back and is awarded costs and punitive damages!
