Piper obedience brag

Thank you so much Gloria...your Piper's number 1 fan! Piper really does have a lot of enthusiasm but I'm always looking for ways to keep it there...far too easy to slip into all seriousness and his enthusiasm drops because it's not fun anymore. Like the 'find mine' game with articles and holding the glove and say take it and then I pull it away and say PSYCH!!! And laugh at him lol....he hates that lol.
I had to yell at a woman today (stupid woman who had a dirty bag that her articles were in) I was walking to the ring as we were up next and her German Shepard lunged at Piper....she was yakking to someone and paying zero attention to her dog. I yelled at her WATCH YOUR DOG!!! Even the judge and stewards looked our way, I had to take Piper down the msin aisle and work it out as he was scared now.
Stupid people! My rant of the day lol.

Thank you Hanne! Piper is a joy to work with and truly loves to work at obedience. The video was very helpful to me as well (although I haven't been able to watch the full one of the articles lol...too fresh in my mind plus we still have 3 more trials in Utility to go). A lot of handler errors there so I will try to be better today!

I totally get it! When I had my first female sheltie I drilled her too much! Did not make it fun at all! I know better now!
I LOVE PIPER so much... he reminds me so much of Logan. Logan, however, would have never been a good obedience dog.

I ALSO HATE stupid people! I had a Chesapeake Bay Retriever lunge at Kelsey when I was in my first obedience CD title show! What is wrong with people!

Very impressive! You and Piper make quite a team! What a terrific dog he is. Best of luck for the rest of the weekend! Best part...it looks like you're both having fun!

Thank you Ann, while we didn't get our Utility title (NQ'd both trials) , we did get a high in class as well as high in trial for the Sheltie Specialty trial (from Open)! Received a beautiful outdoor candle holder which was hand painted with beautiful Shelties and flowers as well as a vase with a Sheltie painted on it. Just gorgeous...as well as 50$. I'll post pictures of them later

I really thought we'd done it today (gotten his title) but the judge said I used 2 arms to do the front signal because I hit my left shoulder with my right hand and moved my left arm. Doesn't say anything in the rules about using 2arms but it's her opinion.
I've corrected that. She also cut me short on scenting my article (no time limit and I WAS nervous!). Hello....I'm in Utility A! I will not trial under this judge again!
