I'm going to have to try the pineapple. Nothing worse than poopy puppy breath. She is eating cat poop outside. Yuck!!

I want to smell my flowers, not stinky stuff.
Only my shelties are dedicated poop "search and rescue" dogs....they literally do grid searches of the yard looking for even one tiny piece I might have missed when doing cleanup. Thankfully my pommies and my collie have no interest in eating poop.
So that's got me thinking. Maybe the challenge is in finding their own food. That's a big thing for Deska, doesn't matter how skanky it is, if he found it it's got higher value than a steak. So my thought is - what if you gave them something else to look for besides poop? Like kibble?
I've never had a dog that ate poop (except for the kangaroo poo and all dogs eat that). Then Tully started eating cat poop just this year (she's 7yrs). When I used to work I would throw a handful of kibble into the yard for the dog(s) to search for during the day. Nowadays they just get an inside treasure hunt when I go out as I'm not working. Maybe that's why Tully is digging up cat poop. The added benefit of throwing kibble in the yard is the dogs confine their pooping to one area as they don't poop where I throw kibble, so it's easier to find it. And I must admit they have been pooping wherever lately.
Anyway, it's just a thought. I'd be interested if anyone wants to give it a try. Now I'm hoping someone in my class might have a poop eater so I can trial it when we start back.
