Poopcicles - apparently quite yummy

We have these pine cones and no kidding they look just like dog poop. I am constantly raking to keep them out of the yard as well. Thank goodness that I have a small garden and yard.

And I handle the 10PM poop run first thing in the morning. While MMM is creating the first mess of the day, I am quickly cleaning up yesterday's last mess!

You all are freakin hysterical..The things we moms talk about and it always ends up on poop, ha ha!
 
Well, it is some comfort to know that Meggie is not the only one! She did eat poop as a puppy but seemed to have grown out of it until recently I changed her food because the vet said she needed to lose a couple of pounds. She then started eating Lucy's poop. I switched her back to the regular food hoping it would stop. But these poopcicles seem to be more than she can resist!

So, my real concern is whether or not it might make her sick or be dangerous in some way. Does anyone know anything about that?

I am not an expert of animal poop consumption, but I would be willing to bet that Meggie is NOT going to get sick or be hurt by eating her own or Lucy's poop. Not that it's great for her, ha ha, but I'm sure it wont hurt her!:o

To my knowledge its not dangerous, but if she's eating other dogs (dogs you don't know) and other animals poop she can pick up illness and parasites that those dogs and animals might be carrying.
 
Bailey doesn't really eat her own poop, but I have caught her eating my chihuahua's poop. My chihuahua makes on wee wee pads, so sometimes Bailey gets to it before I do. I think she just does it because she knows she's not supposed to have it and wants me to chase her.

This is correct. If your dog's ingests poo from another dog or animal, who has parasites or worms, they can get them too.
 
Well, she only eats her own and Lucy's. They are both healthy, well cared for dogs who eat high quality food. So I guess she's safe.

I'm going to concentrate on getting it up quickly, regardless of temperature, weather, etc. Pesty dog!

Yep they make them~ I just saw some in a pet store in NC.But they can be ordered.

But honestly,small diapers for newborn work just as well,ya just have to cut a hole in for the tail.
We used them on a foster we had here. I remember the day,as I set Brian to town for pampers,and he came home with Sesame street pampers. Talk about CUTE!!
I remember Jewel loved them,and actually did better with them,than bitch's britchs they make especially for in season females.
