Positive Pup News! V. Excited!!!!

Good news indeed:biggrin2: I have an inkling I know who your breeder might be and if I'm right, I'm sure you will get a great puppy from her, plus there are shelties she has bred doing agility and obedience too which is proof of the pudding, so to speak.:smile2:

Looking forward to hearing the patter of teeny tiny sheltie paws:smile2:

Yesterday I emailed one of the top sheltie breeders in my area, her dogs are well-known and appear in a lot of other breeding lines.

Well, I asked whether she might have pups in the New Year, thinking it was an incredible long shot.

She just got back to me....

She has just mated her two girls, doesn't know if they are in whelp yet, but if they are then she will have pups at Christmas. She said to get back in touch in the new year and she will be able to tell me if she has a suitable pup available and if she doesn't she would be happy to put me in touch with other reputable breeders.

I have got everything crossed she will have a pup for me! She has the most gorgeous Blue Merle stud dog.

Crikey, I'm flabberghasted! She was the breeder I really really wanted a pup from, but knew it might be quite unlikely!

You can see what I am going to be thinking about over the next two months!!!:biggrin2:
That's wonderful. I was so nervous when we went to visit the breeder to talk with her and meet Sandstorm- I knew that we would be scrutinized, but the breeder made us feel right at home and we did not feel nervous at all when we were there. We asked lots of questions. It seems like the breeder thinks well of you, it looks like you will have a new baby soon.
Karen

Thanks everyone! I'm starting to feel quite excited at the thought - can't wait for the new year!

Mr. Cadbury will look extra nice next to a sheltie puppy
I'm going to have to get used to photography two dogs of different heights side by side:biggrin2:

She is in Bury St Edmunds, and I have seen a lot of her dogs in other breeding kennels and winning prizes. She breeds to 'true English type' which I like as the dogs are really foxy looking.

We could not be more excited for you! Everyone has givin you great advice, and we look forward to hearing more soon.
