Possible issues with a transition to TOTW

Edan sounds a bit like Bentley. We tried getting Bentley on Evo and he had a lot of stomach issues. Diarrhea, mostly. He actually gets diarrhea pretty easily--so we have to be careful.

I looked at evo and the protein levels are MUCH higher than what I want to feed - over 40% in all case. The Blue Wilderness is 34%, which is just a little higher than the TOTW. I may give it a try because I know he does OK with chicken products.

I stress though that you may want to consider a vet hypoallergenic food just to calm his system down.

I asked if I should do anything like a bland diet and the vet said no, just feed him normal, meaning only the Eagle Pack food, since that should settle him down pretty quickly because that is what his system is use to.

Not to get off this topic at all in anyway, but how do you highlight other peoples quotes/comments onto yours?

You're getting great suggestions, it will work out, just hang in there and give it some time! :wink2:

When you are reading a post next time..take notice of the word 'Quote" at the bottom right of the post.
If you click on that word..it will open up a blank email to respond back, with the email topic of interest in a light blue.

If you DO decide to try TOTW again...
I wonder if adding some pumpkin in would help the TOTW not upset his stomach? I switched the boys in a day (out of necessity) but gave them pumpkin with it for about 2 weeks.

Toulouse can't stomach cheese or anything remotely rich, but I think the pumpkin allowed him to get used to the TOTW without tummy upset.

To get totally off topic, how do you "QUOTE" two different posts in the same reply?

Well, I cheat a little. I use FireFox for my web browser and one of the Add-Ons allows me to copy the text of someone's post, right click and select the right options and paste it in.

If you don't have FireFox, you can do it with copy and paste.
  1. Start your initial reply with the "Quote" button. To quote someone else, highlight and copy their text (right click and select copy after highlighting).
  2. Type "[" QUOTE=Name "]" then right click and select paste DO NOT press enter yet
  3. Type "[" /QUOTE "]" then press Enter to move to a new line (or press enter again if you want an extra blank line)
  4. Start typing your response.

PLEASE NOTE
1 - Remote the quotes (") and blank spaces from around the square brackets ([). I did that so the forum would show the syntax
2 - Where I have the word Name, replace that with the poster's name

Haha, OMGsh, my head is spinning now! I am soooo technologically inept in many many ways.

I still have a hard time with copy and paste, when I do do it, I don't remember how I did it

I would consider this if Edan already hasn't completely turned his nose up at the TOTW. He sniffs it and backs away. :( If I want to go with a higher protein food, I'm going to have to try something else.

I may consider throwing the back of TOTW on Craig's List or Freecycle. The shelters around here won't take an already open bag of food.

Do you see the little "+ symbol next to the Quote one at the bottom right of each post? Click that as you read and it will remember which ones you want. When you get to the last post you want to quote, hit the normal Quote button.

I was going to suggest pumpkin as well. It is a life-saver for all kinds of tummy issues.
