My little girl Angel likes to pounce on my feet everynight when I get in bed and under the covers. She lays in wait and then starts to flick her tail like a cat. Then as my feet slide in under the covers she arches her back, up in the air she goes and pounces down on them. Then it becomes a game to her to play bit my toes until the light goes out. Does anyone else have a sheltie that has cat like behavior?
 
Cleveland always licked his paws clean and really did quite a bit of grooming on himself. (He was very vain, mainly because we told him he was so beautiful all the time, and it went to his head!:winkgrin:)

Other than that he was pretty much DOG!

Yes my little girl does that..with anything...she is very cat like...doesnt help that one of my cats corrupts her into being a cat instead of a dog!:lol: She does the same thing with my covers too, I put her up on my bed every morning so she can play!
 
Ha Ha. Yes, Ariel goes into "stealth" mode, lowering her head and shoulders, moving forward very slowly, totally focused, just like the big cats on Nat Geo. LOL Then the pause, gathering of haunches, and POUNCE!
 
I think when they were perfecting the Sheltie gene, someone, somewhere threw a cat into the mix. No question, that our Shelties have definite feline tendencies.

I've actually seen Bacca lick his paw and rub his face with his damp paw! God's truth! And I don't even have cats anymore!

Oh yes! Layla loves to jump on my feet under the covers and nibble on my toes. It's our own private little game.
