Prayers for my little Pixie

Mega prayers being sent your way! You have been so kind and welcoming to me since my loss of Trace and my finding of Baker. Hugs!

Trini,
I'm more sorry than I can say that Pixie is not doing well. I had hoped she would rally for you. It's such a blow to watch them struggle. My thoughts and prayers are with you both. I know she is in the best of hands with you. :hugs

Mega prayers are good...thank-you Kristie and to everyone else who continues to pray for my wee lass.

This morning Pixie had a redo of the ultrasound on her stomach where Friday's ultrasound showed matter in her stomach that could either have been abnormal tissue or food that hadn't been digested even though she had been fasting for 8+ hours before the ultrasound. Today she was 14 hours with no food before the stomach ultrasound and we got good news...her stomach appears normal with no sign of unnatural tissue. It is apparently just taking her body way longer than standard time to process food.

Also, in keeping a log on when she seems in the most abdominal distress I had noticed that the worst times were always post meals if the meals had any substantial level of protein...even the cottage cheese. So she has been switched to a predigested food that the body doesn't "id" as having any protein and therefore doesn't react negatively to the food. We will know fairly soon whether or not this is making any difference in her abdominal comfort level.

Then we wait for the pathology report on her liver biopsy...that will be the biggie. If no lymphoma cells are found in her liver and no cancer found on follow up biopsy of her intestines....and if damage to her liver has not been too great we might be able to save little Pix with aggressive support for her liver...or at least buy her some fairly good quality time. It is a long shot, but for now we will hold onto any hope no matter how small.

Trini

This is very hopeful, Trini! We'll hold onto that and continue to pray for Pixie. She's so lucky to have you!

Trini, I am so very sorry to hear of Pixie's up and down's. I know she is so dear to you and you have given her the best life possible. You have a wonderful vet and sending along my prayers and hugs.
