Prayers for Tully

I got some nausea meds into her - and she brought a toy to me! Up to that point she'd barely moved so she must be feeling very sick. I'm a bit worried about overnight - she's very stinky. The ER vet rang earlier and organised to get some Metronidazole (flagyl) to me - lucky she has a vet friend who lives nearby. We're hitting it with everything we can. Right now she's laying on the bed with me, smacking her lips from the nausea and farting and her tummy is very growly. I've put puppy pads all over the laundry and just hope she makes it in there if she needs to go. Last couple of nights she went all over the laundry. She's such a sweet girl and never wakes me up but I wish she would. Vets are back tomorrow (it was a public holiday this weekend), so her specialist should be back and I can give him a call. She is loving her new food atm - potato and pork patties with a bit of cornflakes. Just hope it agrees with her.

Pup-zilla had a long walk and a cuddle so she was a bit better behaved, except for biting me on the nose.

So sweet of her to bring a toy to you! As if she is trying to say... sorry mom, I don’t mean to cause any trouble!

Glad she is eating! It worries me more when the will not eat! Give that darling girl a kiss and I hope any new meds help ease her tummy!
Virtual hugs!

Not always with IBD. Sometimes they eat to ease the nausea. Tully's been eating dirt lately and I think the nausea is why. Heck Deska was eating with his dying breaths.

So far it's 1am and no more poops. But it's usually the wee hours when we're asleep and she can't hold on. Fingers crossed we'll get through without another mess. I've prepped the laundry - I just hope she makes it there.

As for toys. For Tully happy = toy. It's a very simple philosophy :) And it is a good sign.

Yea, we got through another night. Just going to feed the zoo now. Forgot to boil up some more potato so I'll be trying the home made patties that the ER vet suggested. Hope they'll be ok, I'm sure Tully will like the change, it has cornflakes in it.

That's good news Caro, I hope it continues! Funny how you say your going to feed the zoo...I use a similar expression...feeding time at the zoo lol. My dogs go crazy when it's supper time!
