Sometimes shelties are just tooooo smaaathWell Teddy has been home a week now and I didn't want to continuously post updates but thought it was time for one.
Overall I am very happy with his progress and how quickly he learns things. His incision is slowly healing and the puckering along it has disappeared as it's healing. All redness around the incision is gone and the abdomen area is not tight He still is on antibiotics and pain medication. So for 1 hour he is a very happy, sleepy boy.
He has learned if you hit the door jam just right you can make the pillow come off his head.
He also has decided that moist food is super yummy and will lick that plastic bowl clean as a whistle. If one of the cats come near , he will bring it to me so they don't get it. He gets 2 spoonfuls of moist food when we give him his meds. The Vet. wants us to do that so he has something in his stomach.
And now Teddy is winning the test....He is now quite bashful not wanting to show me his inclusion. We are on day 11 of his recovery. I am wondering if he can be pillow free if he still has scab material showing or is he released on good behavior?
