Presidential Update

Don't recall it either. Though a skinny Luke would likely be an awesome thing longterm for his leg/hip (though he will disagree and claim starvation :ROFLMAO:). Height weight he sounds a little heavy but without seeing and feeling him it is a wild guess. I have noticed some Shelties are very thin boned and others heavier through the chest. As I stated Sca was stocky and long (not really conforming to standard). He was also very heavily muscled so at 30 lbs he was racing thin, he got to 29 once which I thought was better the vet and Sca disagreed  Because of his racing flyball I worked to keep him between 30-31. Way back Spitfire was 19 but he did fill out after that some (I think he was 2 years old then)

Either way OF COURSE Luke should play and get petted and loved on.

I can feel Lukes ribs and breast bone. I believe he's at a good weight.i love this little Boy and am not going to starve him. His coat has lost its shine
Sounds right on for weight then. Back bone is too skinny, even at 29 you could not feel it at 29lbs. So it sounds like Luke is spot on. Of course had I given in to Sca he would have weighed 290lbs, he loved food. No ideas on Luke's coat. One time Spitfire got ruff on his behind, someone suggested worming him which was weird as he was on Heartworm meds and had no other signs, but it worked. Now he is a bit rough as him and Angus get each other including the push game where you put your nose over the other guys back end and push them around. Usually leads to chasing or other play :ROFLMAO:

and you didn't want a dog with blue eyes:winkgrin:
I got a dog with blue eyes and a tri color package . okay he's a merle in disguise

Roflmao

Down to 23.8lbs this morning. He is closing in on it. I am guessing 21 as a goal. Almost 1/3 of his weight but he is doing a lot better. At 10 years old he was rampaging enough that he wore Angus out the other night. They went at it for almost 2 hours straight and any time Angus laid down Spitfire would attack and start him up again. Finally Angus retreated to his dog bed which is one of his semi-Spitfire proof caves.
