Presidential Update

So I have not weighed him but I can feel some rib now. Also I ran an errand on the way home so when I let the guys in it was dark. Spitfire went on a powerrun! Powerruns are a Spitfire thing where I open the door and he tears off wide open for a couple of laps around the fence. You see him zoom off then bit later an orange flash goes by the patch of light. When he was young he would do 4-5 laps before coming in.

Never figured where that one came from. Only when it is dark out as soon as I open the door to let the guys in he spins around and goes wide open around the fence. When Sca was alive he stayed clear of him then as he was so mindless about it he would ram Sca if he got in the way. One time Sca was not looking so didn't see him coming. Spitfire hit him dead center wide open, flipped end for end over the top and just kept going. I could hear it knock the wind out of poor Sca and I am not even sure he knew what hit as when he looked around the Orange Horror was already gone. Sca looked at me like 'what the @#$ was that?' Come summer he will not do it but between now and spring probably every night.

If my math is right (late and I am going to bed but weighed us then me) Spitfire is down to 21.8 lbs!!!!! Almost perfect weight and about 1/3 less than when we started. He is due a supreme brushing, toenail cut and bath. At that time he will get a thorough rib and backbone inspection to determine if this is it or go a small bit lower (he really is not a big guy). Angus might have a pound or so but is pretty decent.
