We just went through a similar discussion, my wife said I was making Teddy fat by giving him a treat just because. ( I like giving treats when he earns them and he usually gets 1 a day just because)
So after 30 mins I made her take him to his room and put him on his scale. Surprise, he still weighed 27.1 lbs

My mom (age 93 and never had a trim dog) says to me yesterday that Blueberry is too skinny, that she can feel her ribs. I just shake my head lol...
