Riley's home

Well...I think he's settling in pretty well now. We just had full out zoomies for 5 minutes  Riley is now passed out.

He's a little more interested in treats now (now we can really start training!!!!) and he's eating a bit more of his food (only 3/4 of what he's getting at each meal). I figure that it will take a little while for him to be completely comfortable in his home.

Settled in, getting bigger, and trying to rule :rolleyes2:.

He acts so differently with me and my husband....mom is to be listened to, trained with, and play quietly with while my husband is to be ran around with, herded, barked at to play, and listened to sometimes. I think someone needs to try harder with being the authority figure........ Glad I'm not the softy here though :biggrin2:

Housebreaking is going slowly (sigh). I think that we're not consistent enough or something to get him to understand. Riley's breeder had them trained on old towels to potty, so I think he's confused still about what and where to potty....he can be outside for 30 minutes with us and not go, then come inside and pee right on the carpet. Work in progress......

Good news is we got sit, down, wait, look, paw, and roll over with 60-90% accuracy!! Is 12 weeks old enough for a sheltie to start puppy classes? I want to get him in and socialized more (he LOVES playing with our neighbor's dachshunds-all vaccinated-but they have back issues and aren't always up for a romp)
