Falling asleep wherever she wants.


Also, he had an Instagram. Not much there yet but once we get rolling and doing things, we’ll have more. She will let Watson have a guest spot too sometimes.

roxy_the_sheltie ... we are very creative around here.

the deal in our house was “one out one can come in.”

I had to put down my hospice cat Petey at the end of June. I knew I wouldn’t be getting another cat anytime soon. He was my <3.

Got in touch with Watson’s breeder and just popped in my email a week ago. I was figuring a puppy in the spring but I think this is going to be much better timing. She will be house trained by the time we start traveling. House trained by Thanksgiving of the breeder would be believed. She needs to stop fighting me over pooping outside though. Pee is fine but poop? Not so much.
 
Things happen for a reason, firm believer. We lost our senior Shih Tzu the end of January and we had decided to go back to our first dog breed which of course was a Sheltie. We had a family cruise booked for mid-April and had said no pup until we got home....in checking the breeders we actually found a local breeder who had pups that would be ready for the beginning of May and we were the first on the list for a pet pup. Cooper was oversized and he actually picked us. :) Happy for you and your new girl. Do you use puppy pads in the house? If so take a soiled pad (poop) to the outdoor area and it may help trigger the idea this is a good spot. I know it may be harder because of the weather, but it worked for us in Spring rain.
 
No puppy pads. She hasn’t picked “a spot” for pooping yet. She did it outside yesterday morning (i thought about leaving it so she would smell it but the little mongrel wasn’t shy about stepping in it :sick::poop:) so I thought for sure I’d get her right after breakfast this morning but instead of the 20 minutes like yesterday, it was 2 hours.

She’s gone right around the same time at night both nights I’ll set an alarm and see if I can get her to do it outside tonight. I supposed I’d rather toss a turd in the toilet than have a wizz puddle on the rug while we’re working on this.
