I'm sorry to hear about Ruffles. You really are being hit with so much. Della needs her gallbladder out and I've been putting it off with money issues but know that at 10yrs old I really need to bite the bullet soon.
Thanks everyone. The surgeon just called, she's done and waking up. She did fine, phew!! Not a moment too soon, the doctor said. The gallbladder ruptured as they took it out and he could feel a large stone in it. We hope she'll come home tomorrow. Can't wait to have her back here on the couch with me. Now can I please have just one crisis-free week?! Or day??
OMG how scary it ruptured while being removed, good Lord! I am so relieved she came though fine and will hopefully be home tomorrow. I mightily wish for you a long, crisis free period of time! Let us know when she's home.
I am so happy she made it through her surgery ok. But how scary that it ruptured during the procedure. I recommend you have a quiet evening and relax tonight. That way you will be ready for Ruffles when she comes home. Congratulations!! On a great outcome
Oh wow Ann, I haven't been on.... so sorry Ruffles relapsed but seems it was good news. I can't believe her gallbladder ruptured like that. WAY too close for comfort! Glad the surgery was successful!!!! Hope your gal is home snuggling with you soon!
Ruffles got home late this afternoon, hooray! She has lots of pain meds and is very sleepy so she's in her crate, with her back turned to us, occasionally giving us the Sheltie Stinkeye over her shoulder. I can't get her to eat yet but that's not surprising. I am so glad to have her back! Pic to come when she finally agrees to look at us again.....
