Ruffles Relapses

Home is good.
I don't know what the recup time is for a gallbladder removal on a dog. Week? Longer?

Two weeks, Margi. The stitches are dissolvable but they run tests on the removed gallbladder and a liver biopsy and clear her once they see her again for those results. In the meantime it’s the usual cone of shame, no running, jumping etc. We know how well that works….:rolleyes2:

Ruffles got home late this afternoon, hooray! She has lots of pain meds and is very sleepy so she's in her crate, with her back turned to us, occasionally giving us the Sheltie Stinkeye over her shoulder. I can't get her to eat yet but that's not surprising. I am so glad to have her back! Pic to come when she finally agrees to look at us again.....
Whew what a relief you must be feeling Ann! She’ll thank you when she’s feeling better!

Ruffy had a good night! Slept all night without moving in a crate next to my bed and this morning is much improved. She nibbled at a cookie and breakfast but then gobbled the mid morning snack I gave her.
She tried to jump up on the couch next to me :gaah so I know she's feeling better, even though she didn't make it. No more of that!

I think it's safe to say she's on her way to recovery. Phew! Thanks to everyone for the good wishes and prayers. Here she is, not on the couch, looking pathetic.... :o1

Oh that is a "I feel sorry for me" kind of look, Ann! But that appears to be an incredibly soft and cozy bed she's on. It sounds like she is feeling so much better, really glad to see this positive update.

Faith has her annual exam and an ultrasound for her gallbladder next Tuesday. Just a precautionary scan.
