Seamus Update

Hello all,

Seamus is holding his own. He is a mighty lucky boy. The liver cleanse diet is keeping him well the vet saw no reason to put him through a battery of tests. His gums are pink, all things just as they should be.

He has muscle atrophy in his hind legs, the vet thinks from old age, not any disease relation. Could be a nasty side effect of all the liver and gall bladder trouble or just symptomatic of some spinal issues. No pain from this and the vet said to run him to keep the muscles awake.

Seamus is eleven years and six months.

Best,
Kate

Thank you

We appreciate the positve wishes.

On another happy note, Harper Lee has responded better than well to upped thyroid meds, soloxine. Her itching is at a minimum and the vet and I have agreed that she seems to have a neurotic itching 'thing'. This after several anti histamine treatments failed. Learned behavior is a hard thing to break but she doesn't go beyond a little normal scratching now. But if we show Seamus more attention than she thinks he deserves she gets to scratching again.

Now neurosis is something that I can relate to!!

Best,
Kate
