Shedding a few tear tonight

I can't imagine how hard this time is for you probably, in part, because I can't let myself. I respect you for being able to get to the point of talking about it - that has to be one of the hardest first steps. Maybe one day your son and ex will be able to start the climb. In the meantime, have a lovely vacation. My sister just got back from the Bahamas on Wednesday, all tanned and relaxed from living on a friend's sailboat for a couple of weeks.

Thanks all for letting me put this out there. In a twisted kind of way, this is how I found this forum.

Michelle died. Timber followed shortly after. I got Bacca but felt unprepapred for a new puppy...and then I found this forum....the rest is, well just, thanks to you all! You are wonderful!

Barb, my thoughts and prayers are with you. We have had a few chats about our losses; passed the 5 year mark fro my brother this feb.. and my everett is showing his age now..
Have fun in the Bahamas and let the sun soak away your sadness.

I had no idea of the heartbreak you've been dealing with. It is so good for you to express it and this is a very safe place to do it. Hugs, hope your vacation is a good distraction and healing wishes to you, as you go onward.

Wishing that the good memories will flood in and give you peace!
