Sheltie lost: Columbus, NJ. Need prayers.

That is great news! Heidi is very lucky that you continue to actively search for her. My prayers are with you and Heidi. Keep the faith!

Thanks for the update on Heidi !!

It's nice to hear some positive news Lets all keep heidi and her Mom in our prayers for a reunion soon !!! Oh Dear Lord Please !!

That's great news! Shelties do, indeed, have tremendous resilience and high pain threshold. The fact that she's managed to figure out how to live this long on her own bodes very well for her.

When I was growing up, we lost our Callie in the mountains of Austria. She was found two weeks later at the side of the road by a tour bus passing through. She'd survived a freak snowstorm and was obviously in bad shape.

The village adopted her and fed her sausages and weiner schniztel for a few weeks until we could come back for her and she was right as rain (and very fat!)

Search Continues

Hello to everyone in the Sheltie Nation. I am sorry for such a delay in information regarding the search for my dog Heidi. Well it has been over 4 months since Heidi ran off. We had a hot time for sightings between Jan/Feb. Feb 4th was our last sighting, then the calls stopped, our feeding stations in the area of the sightings were being eaten by local wild life. My hopes for her return home was at the lowest. I spoke to my pet detective helping with the search what to do. He told me to start over....more posters, fliers, on foot mailbox fliers, talking to people. I was just so upset that I had to start over. I pulled back my effort, did some soul searching, and alot of praying on what to do. Do I start over and continue the search, or stop and thank God for all the years that I had with Heidi. Deep from within my heart the answer. I Must keep looking for her. I can not give up. She is out there, and with patience and persistence I WILL FIND HER!!! Alot of my friends think that I am crazy, maybe I am, but there is something inside of me that tells me not to stop/quit. I continue to do the traditional methods in looking for her, and I am also trying more non-traditional methods. I got in contact with an Animal Communicator (psychic) who has guided me in the direction she is in. This person told me that Heidi is alive, living wild in the countryside. No one has got her, and keeping her. I now work on the areas that the animal communicator tells me, and we have gotting calls again. I continue to Pray several times a day for help. This has been a long, difficult road, but it has brought to life a new calling .... Help lost animals find their home, rescue animals, educate people on dog care, chipping, and helping other people who have lost a pet what to do to find them. In a more happier note , my adopted dog Angie has been a special gift from GOD. She has brought me so much joy, and love. She has helped me and my husband get thru this situation. Her true personality is out, and she is very loving (yes, she has even warmed up to me) following me around more. She doesn't know how to play with toys, but she loves to run and do agility. I want to thank everyone for their thoughts/prayers/words of support. I feel that you are all my friends, and truely know what I am going thru (not like my other friends) Please continue to pray. I will keep you updated soon. Thanks

We'll keep our fingers and paws crossed for your lost girl. Be sure that you are treasuring every day that you have with your family and new pup Angie and not just in a "holding pattern" waiting for Heidi.

god bless u. my heart breaks when i hear stories like this. i dont know what i would do in your situation i dont think i could sleep. i dont blame u i would not give up either. please keep us updated.

Trust your instincts, Heidi's mom. I've heard a number of stories, especially of Shelties, gone for a year, even two, that were found. We are praying for you and to St. Anthony--patron of things lost--that you will succeed. Thanks for the update and know that we are thinking of you.

I'm so glad to see you back with an update! I have been thinking of you and your family. Don't give up and go with your instincts as Ann said. We will all keep praying that Heidi comes home. Hugs!!!!
