Sheltie owners to be from BC, Canada

Welcome from BC as well. :smile2: I just got my puppy for the 2nd week. During the waiting time....my breeder kept us off her back by emailing us photos on a weekly basis.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone...we have already learned so much from Sheltie Nation memebers!
Have our reading material lined up...
Tossing dog names about and realizing we need to meet our pup before settling on something...
We met with our breeder today and met many of her dogs. Such a lovely, pleasant person who was willing to answer each and everyone of our questions. Both hubby and I left with very positive feelings (wishing we could also have left with a couple of the dogs :wink2:
I am not one who believes in wishing one's life away but I would not complain if the next ten weeks or so pass quickly!

Welcome from another BC Sheltie Owner (or am I owned by my sheltie? :wink2: )

Congrats on the new pup!! Photos are always welcome!!!

You've definitely come to the right place to learn about shelties and the ups and downs of life with them.

Welcome! I'm so excited for you! I know the excitement that you have right now. I'm going to get my first sheltie pup in May. Please feel free to keep us updated with pictures!

Oh my goodness time goes slowly with the excitement of waiting for a new puppy!
Surely there must be a support group for impatient sheltie owners to be?

How long do you have to wait?

Having just gone though the waiting process I can relate. I waited though the breeding, pregnancy, hoping for a blue boy. Whelping , yeah 3 of them, waited for them to grow, which one will be mine? Then the last days before he came home where the longest days ever.

Now the days seem to be flying by, my boy is 14 weeks old and starting to look more and more like a grown up boy. Where have the 6 weeks gone?

The best support group is right here. We all understand.

The whelping day is mid January so not too long off. I had one of those moments of awareness today that since we have a very open invitation to visit the puppies... it really won't be that bad (she says trying to convince herself :wink2:).
They do grow up so quickly...I know I'll soon be back to wanting time to stand still.
