Sheltie Senior in Florida, emergency, set for euthanasia tomorrow!

A friend had good results using Adequan injections for his Great Dane senior. They were talking of putting her down because she was getting harder to keep walking. The injections made her much more mobile & added several years to her life. They got it down to 1 injection every few months after the initial series of startup shots. Ordering it online through 800petmeds & price matching was a big savings.

She gets free donations from them since she is a rescue & signed up with them. She said another rescue friend had told her about how good they were & then Petmeds sent one bag in with her donation shipment. Might be worth checking into.

Just got this email from Barb on Norris...

YES, we got him yesterday and to the vet right after we picked him up. A family that has two of my shelties volunteered to take him. We got him all fixed up and she will take care of him. The people are wonderful. We got some very nice and kind donations for him.

YES, Norris has a HOME for the rest of his life, they LOVE him already so excited that we picked them to be his forever home. OMG, I am so grateful they picked Norris I just wish I could clone some people!

So well stated! All of us who have ever rescued a sheltie can reflect on the moment we saved a life! How precious they are...
