Shelties and Canoes

Just something that popped into my head... last year we had lots of news stories about dogs and algae in water. When camping, do be careful and don't allow Monty near any green or standing water. You might be aware of the issue, if you are, then sorry for the post. Trini's pic made me think of it - her pond had none, so not sure why I thought of it.

Thanks for the tip Sandy, I will make sure to keep an eye out for it. We are going to a huge lake so hopefully it will not be too bad but I will check before letting him anywher near

I took my first Sheltie, Noel, kayaking in a pond/lake. She enjoyed it, and was great. Except when she jumped overboard to chase a duck... Fortunately we got her out of the water immediately and she didn’t try it again
