Thank you! I know her sister stopped after 8 days so I'm hoping that she will be similar. She has been kind of mopey today too. Rather quiet for her, not jumping around. It's very unusual for this puppy to behave like this. At least she is not pottying in her panties anymore though at least so far today. I am keeping her on a leash and having her stay close to me. so far that seems to be going pretty well.

that is typical. They can be more quiet. Diva was the energizer bunny on speed unless she was in season or atleast 2 weeks pregnant. Then she acted liked she was uncomfortable and had a headache. poor things.
 
I just found out that her sister was not in heat in Feb. She may have had a UTI. She just started spotting today. The sisters are on the same schedule. Pretty funny. There was at leas one other girl from the litter. I wonder if she went as well.
 
Cubby is STILL asking if we can come on a road trip to Auntie Judy's house? Hey, all his health testings are coming out good . . . wouldn't you love a batch of oversize sable merle pups? Hmmm? Just kidding. But Cubby is practicing on Melli in case you change your mind.

Note: We are health testing not to breed but for the data provided for long term care by MDR1 and Von Willebrand and even degenerative myelopathy (I had an Aussie with that). Cubby will NOT be bred. I am just teasing because he likes Lacey a lot.

Lacey is a tiny dainty little thing and I think Cubby would be way too big for her. anyways she will not be bred so tell Cubby thanks, but no.
 
Just kidding . . . Cubby is gonna see his girlfriend tomorrow . . . she's a golden doodle (I know, dear God, trying not to be judgmental on his choice of friends). Sadie was full on flirting with Cubby last time we stopped by.

Note: Sadie is already spayed -- it's all in the G rating here.
 
My other question is do you keep the pads on them once they are done bleeding for the other discharge?
 
Justus and I went to agility class last night, my friend's Border Collie has come into her first heat and had her bitches britches on. Justus thought that was funny and went to sniff - and she just about took his face off. Opps!

Justus steered very clear of her for the rest of the night, smart boy!

I was tempted to get Flyer out of the crate for a little education, but thought her pretty Aurora didn't need any more unwelcome attention.

In conversation afterward, this pretty little bi blue border collie was nearly attacked by an off leash dog in the neighborhood just the evening before and might have caused an over-reaction to her life long buddy, Justus, her first friend since she got off the airplane on Georgia soil on her 89th day....
 
We are on day 3 here and she hardly has any flow at all. Just a little bit here and there. She barely needs a pad. Hardly anything at night at all.

What concerns me is my husband is convinced that our other dog would not let any other dog get into the yard so therefore she is safe outside. I know Milo won't make it easy for another dog to get into the yard, but I'm still concerned that a very determined male could harm him while trying to get to Lacey.

I need something to tell the hubby so he gets it.
 
Do you get a lot of stray/loose dogs in your area? If you were really that worried you could just go out with her!
