Spaying and stitches

Do you get a lot of stray/loose dogs in your area? If you were really that worried you could just go out with her!

Very few strays around here. I know my other dog (neutered male) will not allow another dog in the yard without a fight. I want to avoid that.

Personally - I would not let her go outside left unattended if you ever loose walking dogs in your area.

If a non neutered dog can smell her (and it can be very, very far away) so nothing can prevent him from contact her and it would be sorry for both of your dogs.

I agree. She has such a light flow, only a few drops here and there. When I took off her panties this morning there was nothing there at all.

It's only been a few days (that we know for that is) Since her flow is so light she may have been in season for a few days before we noticed it though.

As far as I am aware she started on Wednesday, but honestly I'm not in the habit of looking at her privates so it could have been earlier. If she just started on Wednesday it would only be 4 days including today. Is that a normal time period for dogs? All the information I have read says 7-10 days. She was acting rather draggy or mopey in the last week.
