Teenage Phase

I don't know about teenage stage but Diva has been a handful for the last 3 days. In addition to the nativity near distaster, she has grabbed the TP off the roll and pulled it down the hall, is jumping up on everyone and trying to grab food out of their hands, barking at everyone when they go to leave the room(manic herding style) and chewed up the carpet and tackboard in front of the bedroom door.

I think she hasn't gotten enough exercise as the wind has been blowing 45mph with blizzard conditions for the last few days and the dogs can only stay out for 5 mins at a time or possiblely its just to much excitement with the holidays. She been doing a lot of settles and time outs this week. Hopefully once we get back to our routine she'll settle down.:smile2:

Abby the last few days:

toilet paper rolls - 2 full rolls pulled out of the bathrooms and shredded
Zoomies - all around the family room/kitchen
white pages - shredded
yellow pages - shredded
slippers - destroyed
cats - sticky fur all around their heads
nipping at my feet
It seems now she has more energy AFTER her 2 mile walk then before?@*#!

Oh no!!..she turns 7 months next week!!!

I still find the best way to calm her down is to scatter some T.O.T.W. around the family room - it takes her about 45 minutes to find them all - then shes tired.

Its all good - cuz we love our shelties!!!!

hmmm SheepOfBlue has a good point. Could our sheltie pups be on strike? Could they be disappointed with their holiday presents?

LOL! I think this supports Justicemom's theory that lack of exercise is the root of the problem. Of course, that doesn't mean that there isn't a S.U.B.U. plot afoot as well. Give 'em what they want -- exercise and lots of play!

Time for me to get dressed and hit the street with Phebe. :biggrin2:

So Bailey is just trying to make me look bad and sound crazy. My friends came over for a few hours and she was a perfect angel. She slept most of the time. No zoomies or crazy barking. They kept saying "wow she is such a good puppy."
