The Dog Who Will Eat Anything

I was literally JUST posting on someone else's thread that my younger sheltie, Skylar, will eat anything. Literally anything. And........she strikes again. After finishing her dinner from her lickimat, she immediately proceeded to tear off a corner, chew it up and swallow it. Thankfully, since she will eat anything, she also thought that the teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide was delicious and she drank it right up without me having to syringe it down her throat. And in case you're wondering, it works astonishingly fast. Less than a minute later she vomited her entire dinner, including the chewed off corner of the lickimat. Seriously, this dog will eat ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!! She's got to be setting some kind of record for the most bizarre things consumed....... This is the same dog who had stomach surgery in December to remove the corn cob chunk that she snatched off the sidewalk - while on a 4 foot leash! This dog just blows my mind. And yes - thankfully she has health insurance.

Yikes! I thought my sheltie, Sandstorm, ate everything! He only sticks to food! I didn't know that about the hydrogen peroxide. Good to know, and glad your dog is okay

Yeah, even her breeders, who have been breeding shelties for 50 years, are impressed by what this dog will eat :-)

Gavin once jumped on a kitchen chair, the used that to jump on the kitchen table. To eat an apple in a paper bag. He left it where he sound it with a big few bites out of it. he left the second apple alone.

Skylar would have eaten not only both apples, but probably the chair as well.......

It just kills me that Gavin stood on my table eating the apple until he was full and just left it there. I still have that table; you can see his claw marks from jumping up there! He was mostly passed his counter surfing days at this point (8 yrs old) but would surprise me occasionally (a half eaten sweet potato comes to mind), Since his cancer he is 100% safe; he can't jump onto anything more than the low couch and even that depends on the day.
