As for your question, I think it really depends on the individual dog. Every dog is different and has their own personality, but I have noticed that the males tend to be more willing to please and the girls first have to make sure there is something in it for them...at least that's how my girl is :wink2:

Excellent -- yes, we'll probably go -- I think Deer Run Park is right 'down the street' from us. We live on a horse farm in Bedminster. No fences here but we keep our dogs on leash. I might see you there. :)

I've only had Sheltie girls in my life, and they've all gotten along beautifully. Just really love my girls altho I'm sure I'd love any Sheltie, period.

Oh, she's a heartbreaker -- here's some more photos from when we first found her (she loves the bed):

When we first found her, we were very determined to find her owners -- who wouldn't be frantic after losing that little puppy? But then nothing happened despite leaving our phone number with EVERYONE...and as the weeks went on, we decided that was it -- she was ours.

She really is one of a kind and a little clown but from what I understand this is all the Sheltie in her. I hope to bring her to the NJ Sheltie Rescue picnic that weekend and introduce her to her cousins. :)

I live by Round Valley Reservoir :biggrin2: in Lebanon. Right "down the street" from you as well. Bedminster is beautiful. I love the horse farms around there. They are magnificent.

Let us know if you are definitely going to be at the Sheltie Rescue picnic and I can tell you how to find us. I know both Aneita (head of the sheltie rescue) and Terry is our groomer (she fosters for the rescue). They have great dogs, and are good to work with. We have a rescue from them.

Yes, she looks very much like a sheltie, except for the ears. I can understand your confusion if you'd never seen or heard of one before. :smile2:
