Mine is always too excited to sniff me. If I have been with another animal she will sometimes sniff, but she is usually too busy jumping up for me to catch her.

Mine do that too. Heck, Forrest has to sniff the mail and any packages that arrive too.
It was always much worse when I've worked in animal hospitals; had a cat who used to glare at me while she carefully sniffed me head to toe. I could imagine her thinking 'I bet she petted them too.'
Mine don't bother sniffing me - they're too interested in smelling my bag (in case there's food). But I think my two are out and about so much that any smells I bring home aren't that interesting or unusual for them.
Now the cats on the other hand, follow the dogs around sniffing them for ages when we come home. And sadly they don't sniff me either, just my hands if I've been eating.
Now you mention it, I'm feeling very neglected.![]()
