Toffee may adopt a Sheltie brother

I always think these happen for a reason. We may not understand it at the time, but it usually works out for the best.

When the time is right, it is right.

I completely agree with that, it's what I said to start out with, if it works out it was meant to be, if not then no.

Aw, bummer. That's too bad, but glad he will get a forever home anyways. :) Maybe you will just get that Borzoi and Mr. T will get more spoiled.

I'm sorry :hugs

But I'm glad for him that he finds his forever home.

I will just have to wait for my Borzoi puppy in another two to three years!

Can't wait to see your future pup  I'm very curious how the Borzoi will be doing at the agility classes. A Borzoi and a Sheltie will be a fantastic two!

Awww That's too bad! He had such a loving face and you could see how much is foster mom loved him from his description. As you said, at least he has found a good home and everything happens for a reason.

I'm curious... did this make you want to maybe get your Borzoi pup sooner then planned?

nope...
The Borzoi breeder has no litter planned for the next three years for the Mother of my future puppy, Scarlett. She's only two now but I only want an offspring from that particular Borzoi, who has a phenomenal super nice, friendly, outgoing, stable temperament, who is actually very nice with cats yet still drivey and a gorgeous redhead. Scarlett was of the same litter my friend's agility Borzoi is from. Anyhow, will patiently wait for three years for that litter, and spoil Toffee as an only child until then, unless another dog pulls at my heart string like this done did!! lol
I also am waiting on a possible bi black agility Sheltie from a kennel away but that breeding is also a while away... so all in all I see at least having three dogs in the future for me, lolll

Here is Scarlett in the puppy show ring last year:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgcX5mYzgy4&feature=plcp

Here is my instructor and Scarlet's sister on Sunday getting her first gambler's Q as well on same course T and I got our Q, lol. You can hear him barking in that video, of course he is protesting she won first place and we got second in the specials division ;) Borzoi agility is FUN, you just have to keep training sessions VERY short, and reward with a lure lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5eq67F3mtw

What a gorgeous dog ! I can understand your choice of waiting for one of her pups.

I like the way you think about maybe jumping up to 3 dogs in your future :wink2:! It simplifies the ''too many choices for the next dog'' ahah and it opens up your options in case you stumble on another beautiful dog like this Sheltie you almost adopted.

Ah, I spotted this too late...

Never mind, sure there are other dogs in your future and that is one stunning borzoi. I have always been attracted to that breed, but not really considered it because I love my agility, but I am starting to change my mind now I've seen them competing.

So its a for sure thing then that he's been adopted?

That's a shame, I was looking forward to hearing about his adventures with Toffee. Glad that he's found a forever home though.

He reminds me so much of Toby! Obviously the coloring is completely different, but his build, fullness of his coat and shape of his face/ears remind me of my Tobes. :smile2:
