Toffee may adopt a Sheltie brother

Ah, I spotted this too late...

Never mind, sure there are other dogs in your future and that is one stunning borzoi. I have always been attracted to that breed, but not really considered it because I love my agility, but I am starting to change my mind now I've seen them competing.

I was the same way, til I got to see how my Friend shaped Love, the Borzoi for agility since she was a puppy. She was the breeders pick best suited for agility and she was right. My friend and I are both so thrilled to be competing together in starters LOL

When I heard her breeder is considering breeding only one litter by Love's sister I said count me in... whenever it's going to happen! I can't gush enough about her temperament and soundness... The co-breeders are also pretty awesome, so I know I'd get a good one, I don't care about gender or colour...
Let the waiting begin :pop

However! There was something about this Noah that I really, really liked, and I would really love to rescue a dog, but it needs to suit Toffee and I!
I told the rescue if there is a chance that it's not working out with the foster failures, to let me know!

There was a woman back in the 80's that showed Borzoi in obedience. She was a horrible woman but her dogs were awesome. I love Scottish Deerhounds - remind me of Nightmare on Elm Street but love the personalities of the ones I have met. I'd have the stomach tack surgery though. Lived through a couple of torsions in those large, deep chested breeds - not nice.

Borzois are not that difficult to train than other sighthounds. They have the most balanced temperament also. Other sighthounds are a bit reserved - the borzois I know are friendly to anybody, human or dog. And when you look at them moving or just lying on the couch you can see pure beauty. I'm always impressed when I look at a borzoi.

The only thing is their hunting instinct. My friend's borzoi could do anything accept being recalled from the deer or hare. The running and chasing is a part of their personality so we do the lure coursing. It's totally harmless and the sighthound can do what it knows best once in a while. Worth a try :wink2:

Shelties and borzois - so different as they are - definitely could be best buds :smile2:
