Trimming feet (my thoughts) and Ears and Head

My current plan is to take extra fur off the tip and around the tip (after the fold) to eliminate weight, but to leave a little bit of longer fur just before the fold to create abit of an illusion of height. And also to not trim too aggressively between the ears (e.g. to close the gap).

P.S. And while you are all checking out the beautiful ears on the Shelhaven site, check out Bacca's daddy: Alex! (whose ears Bacca did NOT inherit! :biggrin2:)

He is beautiful!

That's what I would do. With the way I trim, I can adjust it to many types of ears, including hound ears (had a set of those!) Luckily, Luke's are tipped only a bit too high, other than that, just perfect!

I think i am soooooooo hopeless
I gave toffee a bath last night, and he blows his undercoat (sigh) again..
but ohmygosh you guys are going to think I am a horrid Mom...
I brush him so no matts, regardless how he hates it, and I try to do the paws... rest is au naturel :dead: his back paws are gremlin, his front paws grinch, his ears wispy Muppet... and his pants flare like an 70's wannabee disco queen...

I am going to have to break down and take him to the groomer, but I HATE to leave him, and he just HATES to be left...
If he only would hold still at my attempts, lol

I had to laugh at this description because it describes Domino to a T as well! I kind of like the Gremlin, Muppet, wannabe disco queen look. I think it gives him personality as Im sure it does for Toffee too! :uhoh:

Yes tis the season...poor Noah has lost his undercoat as well...although as much as I took out the other day you still cant tell...:uhoh:I swear he's part Chia dog

Have you looked to see if you have a mobile groomer in the area. That works much better for me because when I have left them some where it seems they have the dogs forever and when I started with the mobile groomer they come to your house at the appt. time, the dog is less stressed because there are no other dogs around, and the groomer is just concentrating on your dog without the other dogs distracting him. The mobile groomer I have used does it with his brother one does Gypsy and the other does Chandler and he has them done in a little over an hour. Some mobile groomers don't mind if you join them in the grooming van and you may be comfortable in doing that to relieve Toffee's stress.
