Tully's not doing well

Just goes to show how tired I am - forgot to post this morning.
---------------------
IMS said in the state Tully is in, there's a less than 50% survival rate. He thinks if the infection goes down, and she's doing well with her new diet, we can delay surgery so she's got a better chance. The gallbladder lost cohesion but not quite there to burst if the infection goes down.

Ann - I've got little squares of artificial grass covering all the holes. It looks so hard to lay. I thought if I just cover a large area with weed mat...

Just finished cooking up some tuna patties to take when I see her this afternoon.

After much um-ing and ah-ing I decided to bring her home. She didn't seem responsive to me when I got there, but she is eating now (ravenous actually) and walking a little more steadily.

ER vet said I could take her, or they could monitor for another 24-hrs as she was still on a drip. The clincher was, when they took her out the back again she barked her little snout off. So I knew she was ready to come home.

Poor ER vets and nurses had been so busy none of them had lunch. So it was funny to have all these people come out from the back at the smell of Tully's tuna patties.

Got to give her behind a good wash as she's quite stinky. Then I'll set up the larger crate so she can get away from the puppy..

Unfortunately when I got home there were 2 pees to clean up (puppy gets way too distracted outside), and a big pile of vomit in the kitchen. I was only gone 2hrs!

Tully has the most adorable face ever! I am so glad you can take her home. I am sure once she gets her bath and some food and rest she will feel better Recuperating at home! So happy the pack is together again!
Now, little Kismet... please be on your best behavior!

I'm glad she's home with you, Caro. That's the best place for her to heal. So happy to hear she's eating! And talking! Who ever thought we'd be happy to hear barking LOL.

Just what you need is for Kismet to decide to be a puppy now and forget her training, argh. I hope you and Tully can get some much needed rest. Hang in there and know that we are thinking about you and sending you much love and good thoughts. And the weed mat for Kismet sounds like a good idea!

Turns out the vomit was Della. She lost her dinner too. Better change water bowls in case they are cross infecting.
And puppy will potty on lead for a while, she is too distractable.
