Tully's not doing well

It just came back to me when toby was 14 and diagnosed with liver cancer , after he got out of the hospital he had weakness and some spacing out like you described. Until he had his last nausea med. The day of his last pill i literally had trouble rousing him and had him collapse before leaving for work Just teying to stand. My husband was with him for his day off so he wasn’t alone. I thought he was dead/ dying and was prepared to euthanize after work or sooner. I got home, pill had worn off, and i had this whole different dog! Twinkly eyes and glad to see me, willing to eat, night and day. My daughter’s prayers may have beEn involved lol but he was healthier and regained strength off that pill.
I know she seems less nauseated but perhaps that med is a problem for her Not the pred.

That's probably Cerenia (Maropitant), it has the same effect on Tully - she sleeps for hours on it. We had it for the first couple of days home but ran out ages ago. Finally got into a vet who just renewed all her prescriptions. The IMS did send an email to ask how she was (only took about 10days) and now he hasn't gotten back since I said she's not great.

Tully's a tough cookie but not sure how much more she can take. In the morning she has a little bark and thinks she wants to play, and then collapses, She's a little better in mid afternoon (probably because I give her Zofran).

However, there is one bit of good news. I got my walker and took Tully and the puppy for a walk and Tully held up pretty well. It was one of those beautiful crystal blue winter skies so it probably did her good to be out in the fresh air.

So frustrating when the IMS does not keep in contact with their clients. I am at a total loss to understand it!

Thank goodness you were able to get her meds!

Glad Tully got out in the fresh air and can soak up the sun and enjoy the beautiful weather! That helps us all mentally and physically!

Good news that you finally got your mobility walker! Good for both of you to get out and enjoy the weather Caro! Just curious, you call it winter but I'm wondering just how cool is it there?
I bet Tully enjoyed herself being out with her mum!

I know these are strange and difficult times but I don't comprehend why the IMS can't get back to you in some timely fashion. I would want to wring his neck. Anyway hearing you and Tully managed a nice little walk was encouraging. I really am sad that she's struggling. :hugs
