very upset

Birch is a lean mean 23.5lbs he eat in his kennel because he is food crazy and no one would get any or Birch would be killed.

That's Koji. But since Miko won't do anything, I have to tie up Koji on a lead until Miko is done.

Maybe Koji needs some more muscle....sadly, him and Miko are almost the same weight. I keep Koji around 19-20 and he's almost 18" tall (his body type reminds me of a BC, too bad he can't run agility like one). Miko is at 18 right now, but my vet would like him at 19. I guess it's a balance, huh? Chubby is harder on his body, but then, if something major happens, he has more storage to go through first.

So glad to hear Justice is eating and hopefully gaining weight.
And since Ember hasn't lost weight, I guess her tooth hasn't bothered her enough to not eat. That's good. Hopefully she doesn't notice it.

Dr. Shelli - I totally understand how your dogs are more than pets, they are family. My vet said we worry about and treat Danny better than some people treat their kids. I hope that was meant as a compliment.

Oh man if Ember(or Diva) missed a meal I know she is dying  Pigs with a capital P. Diva was in full labor and munching on food, she puked from nausea and then she recovered, keep right on eating.:rolleyes2:

OMG. They are crazy. Full labor and eating? I bet she was thinking, why stop? This may take awhile. I'm hungry.

OMG that is too too funny. Harper is pig girl with a P. I took her off of her homemade diet and switched her to Fromm Tunalini and she looked at me with an accusatory stare for a split second before she gobbled up the whole deal. So she thinks that is a treat, and waits right at the fridge for the homemade!

Sometimes people don't understand dogs=family, their loss.

Hugs,
Kate

Same with Bailey. She only refused food once so far. I immediately knew something was wrong. She ended up having a really bad stomach virus.

I'm glad Justice is feeling better.

I think many of us have had the "how could I not notice that" experience. Case in point...I now have a full flea infestation on my hands (with all 4 pets on Frontline Plus). It's to the point where I have butt draggers from contracting tapeworms BC if the fleas. All this happened in the past 4 days...I KNOW I could have caught it sooner. Even with brushing every day..I guess a flea comb was the missing tool to make sure..I wasn't catching any flea dirt with my buttercomb so I assumed Frontline was working  Hope your pups are recovering..and that the tooth extraction goes well!

Haha! That is gross but hilarious! My Bi black scarfs his food down to the point where he is coughing for a while afterwards. (I usually spread the food on the linoleum so it takes him a long time to chase each piece down), bu we've established a relationship where he knows better than to steal Claussen's food (if I'm in the room anyways).

Glad to hear that it was nothing to worry about. Tell Justice to stop smiling about giving his mom a start.

I'm just reading this thread--glad to hear that Justice ate his dinner. Hope it was just a one time thing.

Maybe he knows you're leaving soon and was worried you'd go without him?
