That poem has me in absolute tears! Thank you for sharing. For all of us that have recently lost loved ones, its a comforting thought that they are still with us everyday, in spirit, of not physically.

I know I carry them with me in my heart, always!
 
So sorry I didn't see your post sooner. It is so hard to let a beloved pet go, but it is the last and ultimate kindness we can bestow on our loyal companions to let them go with peace and dignity.

I feel for you, I remember when my family's moggie was very ill with a stomach tumour. The time came and we all knew, but still it was the hardest decision.

Don't live with regrets though, remember the happy times you shared with Sadie and know she will always be around in your heart and thoughts.
