Puppies are very rare in our local rescue CISR as well but recently we had several pups coming through, might be an economy problems?
anyway, great to get pup so intelligent and so eager to please, what is his story?

What a precious little fellow. Congratulations !
Thanks everyone! And nope, we can't make the date in CT. 
His owner's husband just passed away in Iraq and her current dog was trying to bite him. I guess she was grieving and really didn't want to deal with it so she turned him into a small animal rescue. We found him on petfinder the day he was listed.
